Monthly Review February 2023

Want to know Hive's roadmap for the next 3 months... and H1-23 objective? Our H1 objective is very simple: Minimum Marketable Product launched in July.

Yet, achieving this objective seems hard and daunting. When the objective seems so difficult to attain, it is best to take it one step at a time...and this is what we have been doing: since January we've already released 2 new versions of HiveDrive, delivering month after month exciting features to give the market best solution for storing, accessing and sharing your files in a safe, secure and sustainable cloud: Hive.

In the next 3 releases we will reach the Minimum Viable Product milestone for "storing my files in the cloud and accessing them from multiple devices" use cases with the arrival of the following new features:

Account management:
- Change master password
- Updated settings and profile
- Account deleting

HiveNet visualizer:
- See connected nodes and corresponding meta
-data

File management:
- Drag n drop multiple files/folders at a time
- Download folders
- Retry on failure (downloads, uploads)
- File update (ask for replacement if file with same name exists)
- Windows Explorer integration
- Mac finder integration

Contribution management:
- Multi-device management
- See your contribution on all your devices

Android:
- Sign Up & Login
- File browsing & download

iOS:
- Sign Up & Login
- File browsing & download

Linux:
- Docker versions (ARM & x86)
- Fuse integration

Infrastructure:
- Improved swarm healing
- Improved performance
- Improved connectivity with HTTPS tunneling
- Network failure resilience
- Protect files from concurrent access

While some of these features are our quite a stretch, we will do everything in our power to deliver them to our community within this timeline. We have an amazing team after all!

Our Q2 roadmap is in the grooming and validating phases, we aim to finalize it late March. The biggest addition is going to be the ability to share your files with HiveShare and of course a number of additional nice surprises our busy bees are already cooking up...

Please continue to share your feedback and ideas of features you'd like to see implemented and let us know what is your favorite feature below.

Hive's journey has just started, we thank warmly and humbly our dear for their contribution in building together the future of the cloud, now.
